Knox Homecoming
Thea's First Knox Homecoming! Weather could not have been better. We enjoyed tailgating and also a little late night grown-up time with friends thanks to Liz and Mike's cousin Kimmie. Thanks to both, we had a great time! Thea was great as usual and was good luck for the Prairie Fire. Papa and Chi Chi got a little Thea fix. Hopefully, it will tie them (and us) over until the Holidays. We are going to enjoy just being home for a few weeks. We will be on the road again starting Thanksgiving, and won't be back home until after Christmas. Drew will be flying back and forth from Columbus while we visit family and friends in Chicago and Grinnell! Can't wait to see you all!

1st Halloween
Thea's first Halloween! She was a Kitten and I was the Mama Cat. We went to a Mom's group kids halloween party and had lots of treats (actually I did :). She was having so much fun that she peed her pants! actually all over me. Long story short, by the end she was only half a kitty. No trick or treating this year. She is sweet enough on her own. We hope everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween!

Diaper Cake
Crazy Mom and her cloth diaper debate!
Thea's 1st Cloth Dipe experience!
Mommy!! Are you crazy?
Im ok now! Doin' the tiedyed dance :)
Mommy and Thea are trying out the new and crazy world of cloth diapers! For those of you who remember cloth diapering as a mess of work, today's cloth diapers are as easy as any disposable! except of course the dirty job of cleaning. Still gross but a TON easier. Not to mention, no pins or plastic covers! Only problem is they are now super cute and colorful...which can get pricey if you don't have willpower. I am trying to restrain myself, but who can resist a tiedyed fluffy bottom!

It's been a long time!
It's been a long time, and a lot has happened since my first blog. In the midst of being pregnant, having a baby, moving....again, I had forgotten that I even had a blog. I blame the baby crack:). I could go into the details of all of the above but anyone looking at this should know most of the story up until now. So I will give a brief synopsis.
After a "normal and easy" pregnancy and a very long "weird and hard" labor Thea Nicole Sherman was born 3 weeks early via c-section. A perfectly healthy little girl weighing in at a hefty 5 lbs.7 oz. She has been an amazing addition to our lives and a joy to every degree. Every morning we wake up in awe of what a beautiful, happy, and dare I say easy baby we were blessed with. In the 8 months of her life we have created quite the traveling little girl. At just shy of 2 weeks she had her 1st airplane flight from Ohio to Iowa for Drew's grandfather's funeral. Over the next months, she had traveled to Chicago a few times, back to Grinnell, Iowa and also enjoyed a large amount of time on the beach at her great-grandmother Mimi's beach house in Michiana. Not to mention that Thea has probably been to more Cub's games than her Uncle Jason in 08' .We thought she was our good luck charm, but I turns out we just have to train her to be a "true Cubs fan". Just a few weeks ago, Mommy, daughter and Nanna took a trip to Texas to visit The Pertll's our family of the southwest! We had a great time just the girls, and Nanna allowed me to have my 1st ever night without my daughter. Thank you Nanna! Thank you Pam! Thank you, thank you Melanie!!! Now we are home for a little while trying to relax before the holidays get here. It all starts w/ Halloween, when we take Thea to her 1st of many Knox homecomings. Go Fire!! I will try to keep the pictures in order of age and show you how fast a 5 lb. 7 oz. baby grows...even if she still is a peanut! Love and peace to all, The Sherman Family
